Eating in Amsterdam

This might sound a bit boring, but Amsterdam is my all time favorite city – so far. First of all because of the lack of cars and the insane amount of bicycles. It makes the air much more fresh than e.g. in Copenhagen.  Furthermore people are really nice and open, and every where you go you see smiles (or so it seems to me). Also the architecture is really nice. All in all – I LOVE IT! So I will reconmend you to go there and if so, here are some things you must check out:

The Hard Rock Café  – a must do! I always try to find them when I travel to bigger cities. This one is lovely but unfortunately you can’t sit outside, only when you’re in the bar or when you are waiting to be seated. It’s really not any different from many other Hard Rock Café’s to be honest.

Singel 404 – the best way to spend a sunny afternoon: sitting on Singel 404, drinking freshly pressed juice and enjoying a lovely sandwich while looking at the canal that runs close by.

THE best pizza place in the whole world (and yes! I have been eating pizza in Italy too!). I promise you, this place is so great. It’s close to centrum and very easy to find. It’s an Italian family restaurant (very small, but very charming) and the waiters are incredibly lovely. A perfect place to spend the evening – just watching life go by while enjoying an amazing pizza, a glass of wine and some good friends.

Indrapura Indonesian Restaurant – When you’re in Amsterdam you have to visit an Indonesian restaurant. This one is situated on Rembrandtplein and the food is super delicious! Especially the different rice taffels are worth trying.
